NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR THE
STATE PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
AUGUST 6, 2024
CITY OF MANCHESTER

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF MANCHESTER:

Notice is hereby given that a State Primary Election will be held in the City of Manchester on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

At the following location:

MANCHESTER CITY HALL: 912 City Road, Manchester, MI

The State Primary election is being held for the purpose of electing candidates for the following offices:

United States Senator, 7th District US Congress Representative, State of Michigan 52nd District State Representative, Washtenaw County Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk/Register of Deeds, Treasurer, Water Resources Commissioner, County Commissioner, & 22nd Circuit Court Judge.

ALSO, to elect the following officers:

Please take notice that the Manchester District Library will be voting on the following millage renewal proposal as presented and listed below:

Library Millage Renewal Proposal

Manchester District Library – 1 Proposal Library Millage Renewal Proposal Shall the Manchester District Library, County of Washtenaw, Michigan, be authorized to renew and levy the previously voted increase in the tax limitation that will expire in 2024 in an amount not to exceed .9999 mills ($.9999 on each $1,000 of taxable value) against all taxable real and tangible personal property within the Manchester District Library district for a period of (10) years, 2025 to 2035, inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for all district library purposes authorized by law? The estimate of the revenue the Manchester District Library will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the library in the 2025 calendar year is approximately $580,000. A portion of the revenue collected may be subject to capture by the Village of Manchester Downtown Development Authority and a portion of the revenue collected may also be disbursed to the Clinton Township Public Library pursuant to a library services contract.

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the City Clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
