At the June 12, 2024, Manchester Community Schools Regular Board of Education Meeting, the board accepted the resignation of board secretary Jeff White. After posting the opening, receiving applications, and conducting interviews, they selected Dan Budd to fill the vacant seat. Budd will be sworn in as a board member and take his oath of office tonight, Monday, July 15, 2024.

Budd states, “My name is Dan Budd, and I am looking forward to filling the school board position for the remainder of the calendar year. My wife, Jennifer, and I have two sons, Vince and Henry, enrolled in Manchester Community Schools and could not imagine a better district to be a part of. I have been involved in many local youth-oriented organizations, including the Manchester Co-Operative Preschool, MAYS, Manchester Youth Football, and Manchester Athletics Boosters. Professionally, I am in contractor sales for Chelsea Lumber Company. I am looking forward to combining my professional and volunteer experience to help Manchester Community Schools continue being an outstanding place for our students to learn and grow.”

White himself had been appointed to fill the vacancy Trustee Kody Naylor created when he resigned in March of 2023. Naylor was elected in November of 2020 so Budd will fill the position until this November when the seat comes up again for election.
