ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR VARIANCE APPLICATIONS

Notice is hereby given that the Bridgewater Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold public hearings on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Township Hall (10990 Clinton Road) to receive comments on the following requests for variances from requirements of Zoning Ordinance No. 67 for lots located in the AG (General Agriculture) zoning district:

  1. Request from Greg Bono for approval of a variance from Section 6.03B (Accessory Structures) to reduce the minimum required rear yard setback area for residential accessory structures from 30.0 feet to 15.0 feet to allow construction of a new 1,080-square-foot detached garage structure at 10601 Austin Road (parcel Q-17-03-400-016; 20.02 acres) on the south side of Austin Road at Schneider Road in the SE¼ of Section 3.
  2. Request from Richard and Renee Casteels for approval of a variance from Section 3.101 (Table of Dimensional Standards by District) to reduce the minimum required front yard setback from 75.0 feet to 49.0 feet to accommodate an existing dwelling and to allow construction of a new 8.5-foot deep and 45.0-foot wide covered front porch structure at 9680 Schellenberger Road (parcel Q-17-11-300-002; 1.88 acres) on the west side of Schellenberger Road north of Burmeister Road in the SW¼ of Section 11.
