Obituary: James Wayne Kennedy

James Wayne Kennedy (June 14, 1927 – August 27, 2024)

James Wayne Kennedy, 97, passed away peacefully at his home in Manchester, Mich., surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. He was born on June 14, 1927, in Monett, Mo., to William and Vernie (Smith) Kennedy. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Jeff Schaffer and his friends at the American Legion. A graveside service will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery with military honors at a later date.

Jim is survived by his children, Karen Kennedy of Florida, John Douglas Kennedy of Utah, Joseph (Teresa) Wayne Kennedy of Utah, and James Alan Kennedy of Arizona, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
