Last spring, Manchester High School’s mountain bike team coach, Christian Burrell, began work improving and expanding upon the existing trail structure behind Chi-Bro Park to build more multi-use trails here in Manchester. The most recent update to the trails is a “rock roll” located on the part of the trail near the Community Garden. He explained that his plan from the start was that this would be a shared trail for walkers, runners, bikers, and even nature spotting, and as that is the case, every bike feature will have an optional bypass for pedestrians (or beginner bikers) to go around it. He added that when there is snow, this trail will be open to snowshoeing and cross-country skiers as well.

As work continues on the bike trails, Burrell is looking for donations of ANY rock dirt (no matter how full of whatever) and continues to need volunteers. He is just beginning the process of installing trail signage.
