Manchester rolled over its competitors from Napoleon in Game 4 of the season on Homecoming Friday night 36–14.

The Dutch started play with Bubba Duffing returning a 30-yard kick from Napoleon and were off rushing to a series of first downs that led to their first touchdown and two-point conversion, completed by Jayden Johnson with the conversion completed by Walter Ahrens.

Another touchdown was to follow with Jayden Johnson carrying a quick 3-yard gain to the goal. Tommy Johnson followed up by running the ball to the end zone for a two-point conversion.

Early in the second quarter Napoleon scored two touchdowns, the first with no conversion. It looked good for the Pirates at that point, as they were catching up with the rival team, as the scoreboard rolled up to 14–16, but there was more for the Dutchmen to bring on.

Manchester responded with a quick sprint to the goal line with a touchdown of their own. Drake Neff ran the ball from the >27 to the end zone. Jackson Walz’ PAT pass came up short yet the score at halftime was still a hearty 22–14 in Manchester’s favor.

The second half was all Manchester, scoring 8 in the third quarter on a Jackson Walz/Jayden Johnson combo, followed by Walter Ahrens for the touchdown in the fourth and a failed two-point run by Jayden Johnson in the attempt for conversion.

Manchester’s leading offender was Walter Ahrens; Jackson Walz was the leader in passing. Drake Neff was the top receiver for the game.

Next week the boys head to Leslie for a 7pm game. Go, Dutch!!!
