In March, the Manchester District Library hosted Carol Rose Kahn and Annabelle Otto’s insightful presentation, “The Women of the Kahn Family: A Quiet Dignity.” If you missed it, you’re in luck! Carol and Annabelle are returning for another opportunity to explore the impactful lives of the Kahn women on October 24 at 7pm in the Village Room at the Manchester District Library.

This engaging evening will feature a trivia slideshow — test your memory if you attended the March event — and a one-hour presentation that delves into the lives and achievements of the women closely associated with Albert Kahn. During the presentation, important context will be provided by Michael H. Hodges, published author of Building the Modern World. Hodges will also be attending the Q&A afterward. The focus will be on the significant yet often overlooked contributions of the Kahn women, revealing how their stories are interwoven with broader historical narratives. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session where you can engage directly with the speakers and deepen your understanding of this important history.

Carol and Annabelle will use letters, photographs, and primary sources to bring these historical figures to life, offering a compelling look at their stories and achievements. The speakers hope to inspire attendees to explore the achievements of women in history and in their own families, honoring the women who came before them and offered unique legacies for us to inherit.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the past and celebrate the vital contributions of these women. Join us on October 24 for an evening of inspiration!
