Manchester is AMAZING!

The Manchester Area Seniors have continued to receive donations and are so excited for construction to begin on Manchester’s first-ever Senior/Community Event Center!

With funding secured for the renovation, kitchen equipment, a handicap bathroom, tables and chairs, and storage units, along with Manchester United Methodist Church planning a “kitchen warming” party, we are so thankful and on Cloud Nine.

Our contractor, J and N Contracting, LLC, has provided us with a build-out plan that has a target completion date of March 2025. Anyone up for A ST. PATTY’S DAY PARTY?

We will be sure to have updates, with pictures, in the Trumpeter and will occasionally schedule “sneak peeks” as the project progresses.

People are asking what we need. As we continue to grow, we must have volunteers to assist in activities and lunches and memberships in The Manchester Area Senior Citizens. While we operate completely on a volunteer basis, dues help us pay for insurance and the cost of printing and mailing the Trumpeter. Membership forms are in the Trumpeter, available at our lunches and at Monday night euchre in the City Hall Village Room (lower level). Join us for lunch at Manchester United Methodist Church on Tuesday or Thursday. It’s a great opportunity to support the seniors, have a low-cost lunch, and to socialize. The recommended donation is $5; food is provided by Meals on Wheels, and our Manchester Seniors retain all donations.
