Street detours this week in downtown

On Monday, November 25, 2024, and Tuesday, November 26, 2024, W. Main Street from Clinton Street to Union Street will have a detour route due to the lead line project. On those two (2) days, the City of Manchester’s contractor will be fixing the road with asphalt patches. The detour route from the west will be Union Street to Madison Street then to Clinton Street for east-bound traffic. West-bound traffic will go Clinton Street to Madison Street and then back to Union Street. Residents who live in this area will still be able to get to their homes.

The City of Manchester appreciates your continued support during this vital project for our drinking water customers. At this time, it is estimated that roughly 20 homes still have lead lines. The project should be wrapped up by the middle of December.
