On Tuesday, November 26, Luther C. Klager Elementary School was surrounded by the love of grandparents on Grandparent’s Day. Children in all grade levels had the opportunity to invite their grandparents or other special adults to come and spend time together in the school. They started with family photos in the gym, then moved on to a delicious breakfast of breakfast pizza, pancakes, or yogurt parfaits prepared by the dedicated kitchen staff. When breakfast was over, the children and their special guests went to the classrooms where they made crafts or played games together. The morning ended with a trip to the gym so the guests could be serenaded with special songs about grandparents.

At the conclusion, guests also had the opportunity to go shopping at the Book Fair, which will also be running at Luther C. Klager the week of December 2. Guests were also invited to learn more about Manchester schools and attend the Senior Luncheon at Riverside, which will be taking place on Wednesday, December 4 from 11:00-11:45am. No registration is required.
