Fire Department collecting Toys for Tots

The fire department is starting its 21st year collecting toys in Manchester. In the past 20 years we have collected just over 7,000 items that have been distributed to area children. Many of the items will be used for the Kid’s Christmas, which is coordinated by the Manchester Lion’s Club in conjunction with Manchester Family Services on December 14. Drop-off locations include Chuck’s Auto Repair, Comerica Bank, Linda’s Diner, Manchester Ace Hardware, Manchester District Library, Manchester Township Office/Manchester Fire Department, Old National Bank, and River Raisin Distillery. The final toy pickup will be around December 18.

For those needing assistance with toys this year, please call the Manchester Township Fire Department at 734-428-9439, option 2, and leave a message and someone will return your call.  Thanks to everyone who has donated toys to make a brighter Christmas for the children.
