In the crisp morning air, we’ll gaze upon nuthatches foraging, spot a hawk soaring overhead looking for a meal, and enjoy many other daily routines of winter birds with a winter birding hike in the Clark & Avis Spike Preserve on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 8 to 10am, led by Kelsey Dehring of Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation. All levels of birders are welcome. Please bring your own binoculars.

Space is limited to 15 birders. Pre-registration required. Register online at parksonline.ewashtenaw.org, click on “nature programs”, scroll down, and click on “Winter Adult Nature Hikes – #821009”. “Winter Birding” is near the bottom of the list. Email Kelsey at dehringk@washtenaw.org with questions. The Spike Preserve parking lot is located at 18700 Grass Lake Rd.
