SYNOPSIS OF MEETING MINUTES

February 11, 2025, Regular Board Meeting

Held in person at the Freedom Town Hall

Meeting called to order at 8:02pm

Members present: Lindemann, Bristle, Layher, Huehl, Schaible absent-none   4 public in attendance.

The board heard public comments, communications received, and treasurer, clerk, planning commission, ordinance enforcement officer and zoning administrator’s reports.

Items approved:

1. To add Township Insurance Question for Betty Harper to Hold a Small Animal Vaccine Clinic in Town Hall Parking Lot to Old Business and add Assessing Contract for 2025-2026 to New Business.
2. Minutes for January 14, 2025
3. Treasurer’s report
4. To approve Sondra and Christopher O’Donnell’s application to put 58.5ac. on parcel # N-14-34-100-006 in the Farmland and Open Space Preservation Program  PA 116.
5. To approve the 2025 Federal poverty guidelines in the determination of poverty exemptions.
6. To adopt Resolution 2025-01 Freedom Townships’ poverty exemption guidelines and put the application on file with the township.
7. To adopt Resolution 2025-02 Freedom Townships’ property tax exemption guidelines, audit procedures, and put the application on file with the township.
8. To adopt Resolution 2025-03 the policy for inspection of assessing records.
9. To set the Budget Hearing for Tuesday, March 11^th at 7:30pm.
10. To accept the April 1, 2025-March 31, 2026 assessing contract from the Washtenaw County Equalization office for $24,000.
