Ever wonder why some areas have hills, lakes, wetlands, and other areas do not? The Manchester Area Historical Society will present a program titled The Role of Geology in Shaping the Surface of the Manchester Area at their regular monthly meeting on April 10 at 7pm at the Kingsley Jenter House, at the corner of Main and M52.
Geologist Mike Wilczynski who has worked as a geologist for 45 years will explain how the glaciers from the last ice age shaped the surface of the Manchester area. In addition, some information about the deeper bedrock and fossils will be included. Questions will be encouraged and visitors may bring fossils found in the area. Everyone welcome! Free admission. Refreshments will be served.
