Washtenaw County Commissioner Jason Maciejewski, District 1, and Commissioner Shannon Beeman, District 3, will host a community town hall in Chelsea on Wednesday, April 9, to discuss the Older Adults Millage.

The Board of Commissioners has been working to operationalize the Older Adults Millage that 57% of Washtenaw County voters passed in November 2024. This town hall will be an opportunity to hear about the work the Board has been doing, and community members will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts on the millage.

The town hall will take place, Wednesday, April 9, at the Chelsea Senior Center located at 512 Washington St, Chelsea. The event will run from 5pm to 6:30pm.

“Washtenaw County and the Board of Commissioners are committed to the needs of our aging residents, and the Older Adults Millage is a key investment our community has made in their well-being,” Commissioner Shannon Beeman, District 3, Vice Chair of Working Session, said. “I look forward to engaging with the community at this town hall to discuss the impact of the millage dollars and the path forward for our county.”
