One Big Thing holding community leadership meeting on caregiver resources and suicide prevention

A community leadership meeting has been set for Tuesday, April 22, from 8:30am to noon to hear from community providers about local caregiver resources and high school–based efforts to prevent suicide with the ultimate goal of improving mental health and emotional well-being in the 5 Healthy Towns region, which includes Manchester as well as Stockbridge, Chelsea, Dexter, and Grass Lake.
Community members are welcome to join the conversation as partners from Chelsea Hospital, Michigan Medicine’s Community Health Services, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 5 Healthy Towns Foundation, and more than 25 community organizations and individuals discuss how to work together to decrease isolation, improve access to mental health resources, and prevent substance-use disorders. The meeting will be held at Silver Maples of Chelsea, 100 Silver Maples Dr, in Chelsea, and includes breakfast served at 8am.
