EJ Dome Classic and Napoleon Dual Recap

At the EJ Dome Classic the boys took home the 2nd-place trophy with 105 points in the field of 12 teams! Hanover-Horton won the boys’ side. The girls finished in 8th place with 41 points. Grass Lake won the girls’ side. Last year in comparison the boys scored 35 points and the girls scored 13.5 points. Big improvement from both teams! Nathan Fletcher early qualified for states in the discus and shot put! Grant Johnson early qualified for states in the 400m. We had a lot of great performances and we will start with the boys.
- Grant Johnson took 1st in the 110H with a PR time of 15.34, 2nd in the 400m in 51.19, 3rd in the 300H, and ran the anchor leg of the 3rd place 4×4 relay. Grant is currently ranked 2nd in the 110H, 3rd in the 300H, and 6th in the 400m in the state! Our 4×400 relay is currently ranked 5th in the state!
- Nathan Fletcher took 1st in disc (142’11) and 1st in shot (48’11 huge PR). Hits the state EQ marks and he’s currently ranked 6th in the state in both events!
- Sawyer Lutton took 1st in the 300H with a 2-second PR of 42.62, took 4th in the 110H (PR of 16.87), and ran a great leg on the 3rd-place 4×4 relay.
- Jayden Johnson PR’ed twice (11.47) in taking 3rd place in the 100m and almost early qualifying for the state meet! He also ran the anchor leg of the 5th-place 4×1 relay that ran a season best time of 47.08.
- Jesse Sangster took 3rd in the pole vault and tied his PR, and he also ran a leg on the 4th-place 4×8 relay.
- Cade Sayer ran a season-best time in the 800 to take 4th and ran a great leg on the 4th-place 4×8 relay.
- Alec Dodak took 4th in the 3200 and 6th in the 1600.
- Brady Reed took 7th in PV.
- Justin Gale ran a PR in the 1600 in 5:17.5 to take 8th place and was on that 4th-place 4×8 relay.
- Brennan Woods took 8th in HJ with a PR jump of 5’8. He also ran a great opening leg on the 3rd-place 4×4 relay.
- Gavin Horky ran a leg on the 3rd-place 4×4 relay.
- Walter Ahrens, Ethan Hittle, and Gavin Lindeman were a part of the 5th-place 4×1 relay.
- The 4×2 relay of Walter Ahrens, Sawyer Lutton, Gavin Lindeman, and Jayden Johnson took 6th, and ran a great time and nearly got the medal.

- Gavin Lindeman big PR in the 200m
- Ethan Hittle PR in the 200m
- Vince Budd PR in the 400m
- Eli Finnegan big 5 second PR in the 800m
- Liam Pierce huge PR in the 3200m
- Rocco Guido PR in the discus
On the girls’ side:
- Siera Jedele took 4th in the 100H, tying her PR, 3rd in the 300H, anchored the 3rd-place 4×2 relay, and anchored the 4th-place 4×4 relay.
- Valorie Hieber took 5th in the 200 with two PR’s (29.89), ran on the 3rd-place 4×2 relay, and 4th-place 4×4 relay, as well as tied her best shot put.
- Teagan Clarke took 5th in PV with a PR of 7’6, took 6th in the 3200, and ran a good leg on the 4×800 relay that took 7th.
- Faith Branner took 5th in discus with a PR of 88’2, and she also had a nice PR in shot (23’5).
- Natasha Seaman ran a PR in the 100m (14.48) to take 8th. She also ran a good leg in the 3rd-place 4×200 relay.
- Elle Woods had a 3-second PR in the 400m and took 8th. She also ran the opening leg of the 4×800 relay, which took 7th, and the opening leg of the 4×400 relay, which took 4th.
- Caroline Mason ran a good leg on the 4×400 relay that took 4th and also PR’d by nearly 2 seconds in the 800m and just missed a medal.
- Memphis Conklin ran a great lead-off leg on the 4×200 relay, which took 3rd, and she ran a PR in the 100m.
- Lucy Baran and Amanda Hieber ran well on the 4×800 relay that took 7th.
Last Tuesday, the Dutch concluded their Dual meet season in Napoleon with a split. The boys took the win 87–45, while the girls lost to a strong Napoleon team 41–90. The boys finished the dual meet schedule 4–1 and in 1st place in the East Division! Cascades East Division Champs! The girls finish the dual meet season 2–3 on the year.
On the boys’ side:
- Grant Johnson led the way with four 1st places in the long jump, 110H, 300H, and a PR in the 200.
- Alec Dodak took 1st in both the 1600 and 3200 while also being a part of the winning 4×8 relay.
- Gavin Horky took 1st in both the high jump and 800 while also being a part of the 4×8 relay.
- Jayden Johnson ran a PR in the 100 and took first while also anchoring the winning 4×1 and 4×2 relays.
- Nathan Fletcher took 1st in the discus and 2nd in the shot put.
- Sawyer Lutton took 2nd in the 300H, 3rd in the 110H with a PR (16.60), and ran a leg of the winning 4×2 relay.
- Justin Gale had a huge PR in the 1600 of 7.5 seconds to take 2nd. He also ran a leg of the winning 4×8 relay.
- Gavin Lindeman scored in all four of his events with a 3rd-place and PR in the 200, as well as a 3rd in long jump and running winning legs on the 4×1 and 4×2 relays.
- Cade Sayer took 2nd in the 800 and ran a good leg on the 4×8 relay.
- Jesse Sangster took 2nd in pole vault and took 3rd in the 1600.
- Walter Ahrens ran two winning legs on the winning 4×1 and 4×2 relays.
- Liam Pierce took 3rd in the 3200.

- Natasha Seaman took 2nd in PV.
- Elle Woods took 2nd in the 800.
- Audrina Lauer took 3rd in the long jump with a PR (14’7.75).
- Lucy Baran took 3rd in the 1600.
- Amanda Hieber took 3rd in the 800.
