Obituary: Peter Mario Roncoli

Peter Mario Roncoli (December 7, 1932 – May 21, 2025)

Peter Mario Roncoli, 92, of Saline passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 peacefully at home with his loving wife and children by his side. Peter’s family and friends will gather at Eineder Funeral Home – Manchester Chapel from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm, Thursday, May 29, 2025 with the rosary at 6:30 pm. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Friday, May 30, 2025at St. Mary’s Catholic Church following visitation at Eineder Funeral Home – Manchester Chapel from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Fr. Gerald Gawronaki and Rev. Fr. Basco Padamattummal will serve as co-celebrants.

Peter Mario Roncoli

He was born on December 7, 1932, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Charles and Dena (Debanatti) Roncoli. Peter married the love of his life, Ingeborg Lamparter, on May 23, 1964, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   He will be remembered as a man that loved the Lord and his family. Peter was a graduate of St. Thomas High School in Ann Arbor and attended Eastern Michigan University. He proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces. Peter retired after 32 years of service from Michigan Department of Transportation as a lab technician, testing road materials, then he became employed for University of Michigan for an additional 13 years. He attended every football game his boys played in and was referee for many high schools for over 20 years. Peter was a longtime member of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, and upon moving to Manchester he and Ingeborg attended St. Mary Catholic Church. He was an avid hockey fan and truly adored his dogs. Peter will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Peter is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ingeborg; his children, Claudina Roncoli, and Peter W. (Marie) Roncoli; grandchildren Anthony (Chardae) Roncoli and Vincent Roncoli; great grandchildren Daena and Ri; many nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Karen Roncoli. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dena; son, David Roncoli and siblings, Mary (Owen) Koch, Tom Roncoli, Margaret (Nate) Hill and Gloria (Ken) Morris.
