Manchester Community Schools is holding summer camps for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade (2024–2025 school year). They will be held at Riverside Intermediate School and run in the mornings from 8:30am to 11:30am for kindergarten through 2nd graders, and from noon until 3pm for 3rd through 6th graders. Each camp lasts a week, Monday through Friday, June 16 through August 1, and costs $50/camp. Camp focuses this year are baking, cheer, horses (this week will be held at Bridgewater Support Services with horses), games, mural painting, and STEM. There are no summer camps the week of June 30 through July 4.
In addition, Manchester Community Schools will be offering Safety Town the week of July 28 through August 1 for 4- and 5-year-olds. Safety Town is designed to teach many areas of personal safety to children entering kindergarten in the fall. Students learn traffic and bus safety as well as fire, seat belt, stranger, water, gun, poison, and electrical safety through stories, projects, songs, games, movies, and excursions.
