Manchester-area residents are invited to celebrate our shared community on Flag Day, June 14, from 10am to 2pm, in Wurster Park with neighbors and local public service providers. Wurster Park is located at 212 W Main St (the park with the gazebo). Participating organizations include: Friends of Watkins Lake State Park, Manchester Area Senior Citizens Council, Manchester District Library, Manchester Township Land Preservation Committee, Rank MI Vote, Student Advocacy Center, and Voters Not Politicians.

Topics for conversation at tables throughout the morning will be: Flag Day gratitude, veterans’ services, Medicaid and SNAP, senior services, school programs, voter protection, Medicare-for-All, rank choice voting, land preservation, summer reading, and more! Kids’ activities will be centered at tables within reach of the presenters’ tables. Free coffee, tea, and duffins will be provided (while supplies last).

This event is organized by Manchester Voices Indivisible, composed of  peaceful, non-partisan, pro-democracy Manchester-area residents.

Manchester Voices Indivisible (MVI) is one of over 2000 local units across the country who follow the general guidance of the national Indivisible organization.  Our group formed in February out of concern for ourselves and our neighbors as federal programs that we depend on were targeted. By participating in organized activities and directly engaging our elected officials at all levels of government, we will do all we can to prevent harm to our community and our natural environment, and to build a better democracy. Our work models the Indivisible values of inclusion, tolerance, and fairness.
