Clinton Summerfest Antique Tractor Show and Festival is Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9am till 4pm. It is the 16th year for the festival and many volunteers help to put it on from both Manchester and Clinton. Manchester residents John and Tuesdee Schiel are on the board taking care of everything from registering tractors to serving lunch to the tractor people to running an auction to holding the opening ceremonies. When asked why they feel this is so important, John said, “It’s a great event just seeing the faces on the kids and adults looking at the old tractors. Also watching the men and women talking about the memories of their grandparents’ old tractors.”
Some of the events that will be happening this year at the 9am opening ceremony include the raising of the flag by the Clinton American Legion and a prayer by Tuesdee Schiel. From 9:15am to 10am, there will be Merry Cloggers; from 10:15am to 11am, 42 North with John Valentin; from 11:15am to noon, Larry Rothman; from 12:15pm to 1pm, line dancers; from 1:15pm to 2pm, Beau; and from 2:15pm to 3pm, Dave Lane. There are also activities for the kids at 10am, and 2pm is a money hunt in corn. At 11:30am there will be a kiddie tractor pull. From 9:30am to 4pm there will be craft booths, a jumpy castle, face painting, and carnival-style games as well as wagon rides and tractors on display all day.
Schiel said that he first got involved 13 years ago when he went to the show on his birthday. “What better birthday present to someone who loves tractors as much as I do than a show,” he said. “Plus, it really makes me feel good to be able to give back to a community and see all types of people get to enjoy a day with something low cost.”
John’s wife recently got involved by making the meal for the tractor people and this year the show falls on her birthday. She will also be driving their farm’s Farmall BN tractor in the tractor parade this year. She stated, “It is very enjoyable to be able to work on this project together with my husband and friends.”
Summerfest is located at Tate Park on US 12 outside of Clinton, Mich., across from Busch’s. It starts at 9am and ends at 4pm with a tractor parade along US 12 and through Clinton at 3:30pm. It’s a free event to attend or to enter a tractor, but, of course, donations are accepted. You can also bring your tractor down the night before as there is security.
This year organizers are trying to break their record of 98 tractors. Hope to see you there!
