Consequences of More Snow Days – Correction
Last week’s article regarding the consequences of more snow days should have indicated that the amendment to the State School Aid Act was strictly for the 2012-2013 school year. The legislature is considering a similar modification for this school year, but it has not enacted to date. My apologies for the error.

Manchester Schools closed Tuesday, Jan 28
Per the district website: Due to Winter Weather Conditions, Manchester Community Schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Reminder that the next day that schools reopen, it will be a half day.

Detroit Lions Coming to Manchester to Raise Money for Manchester Youth Football
A fundraiser has been announced for the new Manchester Youth Football program. Co-op Preschool Big Wheel 500
Manchester Co-Op Preschool held its annual Big Wheel 500 fundraiser this Saturday in the Ackerson Building Gym. Popcorn, hot dogs, and candy were devoured. No injuries were reported. The Pre-School raised nearly $900.
