River Raisin Reveals that Fall is on the Way
The River Raisin is named for its wild grapes. As autumn approaches, any walk along the river will reveal tart juicy grapes, blood red sumac, heavy waxy autumn olives, sharp blooming thistles and the first hardening clusters of acorns. The sun’s heat will cling, but the plants know that summer is nearly over.

Fairy Festival at the Farmers Market 2014
Last Thursday Manchester experienced an influx of wee folk at the farmers market! Fairy wings, glitter tattoos, wands, and fairy bracelets were everywhere you looked. Activities included a cake walk, marshmallow drop, fairy parade, digging for treasure, and playing in bubbles. Miss Michigan Pre-teen American Co-ed posed for pictures with many little fairies!
