SafeRoutesAll Klager Elementary and Manchester Middle School students, no matter what physical limitations you may have, are invited to attend Manchester’s first Safe Routes to School bike rodeo on Saturday, April 26, 9:30am at the Manchester High School parking lot. A safety inspection and a series of skill stations will be performed.

Members of PEAC-Programs to Educate All Cyclists, Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society, Aberdeen Bike & Outdoors, as well as our local Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department will be on board to make this a spectacular event! They ask that you bring your own bicycle and helmet, however, bicycles will be available to use and helmets donated to those who need them.

Any community member with some experience in bicycling and willing to help volunteer a couple hours of your time would be greatly appreciated. The event will require approximately 12 volunteers. Please contact, Melanie Woods at (734)323-8903 or via email at mwoods@mcs.k12.mi.us before Thursday, April 24th if you are able to help or have any questions.
