logo (1)This past week, the freshmen took a field trip to experience college life at the University of Michigan. The tour is part of a college visit series designed by Kevin Mowrer to introduce the students to different types of colleges and encourage parents and students to plan for college after graduation.  Funding is made possible by Worth Repeating.

As a result, the number of students who attend college after graduation has risen from 70% in 2006 to 95% in 2012.  Principal Mowrer indicated that, “Part of preparing students for college is creating opportunities for them to see themselves on campus and consider the options for school.  We take all 8th through 10th grade students to Eastern Michigan University, University of Michigan, and Adrian College to expose them to the different types of college experiences.”
