Harvey was born and raised in New York but moved to Michigan to attend U of M, graduating in 1997. She worked for a few years before returning to school at Michigan State University College of Law, from which graduated in 2004. She moved to Manchester in 2004 and started her own practice in January 2006 focusing on probate and estate planning, wills and trusts, family law (divorce, custody, parenting time), juvenile law, guardianships and conservatorships. She is married to Steven Harvey and they have 3 kids.

Harvey is active on the Manchester Community Fair Board and is currently running for the Manchester Community Schools Board of Education.
