Last Wednesday, 9 Girl Scouts from three different troops paid a visit to the Manchester Township Fire Department's monthly meeting to present them with 36 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and a bag of thin mint coffee. As part of the Hometown Heroes program, the Girl Scouts collected donations at the bank. They then voted on which Hometown Heroes they wanted to use the donations to buy cookies for. They voted for the fire fighters. This is the first year Manchester has participated. Mary Radcliff, spokesperson for Manchester Girl Scouts stated that her goal is that eventually they would raise enough to be able to present two boxes to each fire fighter, EMT and Sheriff Dept. employee in Manchester.
