The Village of Manchester now accepts major credit cards and ACH payments for utility and other bills.

According to a "news" brief on the Village of Manchester website, the village is now able to accept payment for bills - including their water bill - from residents who prefer to use their credit card or direct payment through their checking or savings account.

This is an option that has been a long time coming and was made possible by a change in accounting software during the 2014-15 fiscal year.

To use a credit card, call the village office at 734-428-7877 or stop by during office hours of 8am-4:30 pm Monday through Friday. A convenience fee of 3%  will be assessed, with a minimum of $2 per transaction.

For direct payment through your checking or savings account, there is no added fee. An application on the village site will need to be printed and filled out and returned to the village office. When the process is complete, your utility bill will say “Direct Pay- Do not Pay” so residents will know the change is now effective.

Full information can be found at the Village website.
