WCRC: Roadwork in our area this week

On Monday, May 6, Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin surface maintenance on Pleasant Lake Rd between M-52 and Smythe Rd in Sharon Township. Earlier this year, WCRC crews replaced a crossroad culvert at this location. Next week, crews will return to perform surface maintenance over the crossroad culvert. The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services, and others to use an alternate route. The roadwork is expected to take approximately one day.

WCRC will be resurfacing Sharon Hollow Rd between Austin Rd and Sharon Valley Rd located in Manchester and Sharon Townships this week through May 24. The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions and a flagging operation. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services, and others to use an alternate route.

In Manchester Township, WCRC will be finishing up forestry work on Schleweis Rd between Bowens Rd and Boetger Rd.

In Bridgewater Township, Clinton Rd between Burmeister Rd and Austin Rd will have lane restriction on May 6 and 7 for surface maintenance.

In Freedom Township, local and primary soft-surface roads will have intermittent lane restrictions for dust control through May 16.

All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
