This photo of the man suspected of stealing a purse & wallet out of a parked car at the BP Gas Station in Manchester is being shared widely on social media.

Early Friday morning, a larceny from an automobile occurred at the BP gas station on Ann Arbor St, across from Klager Elementary. According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff Dept., a white male with a beard in his mid to late 20s entered an unlocked vehicle while the victim was in the store. A pocket book and a wallet were taken. The suspect was driving a Silver 4 Door Chevy Impala.

According the Brooklyn Exponent, on Sunday, Feb 12th and last Thursday, vehicles in Brooklyn parking lots were entered and in one case a purse was taken while a young passenger was in the car. A woman in her 20s with short brown hair is the suspect in the Thursday incident. In both those instances, the suspects were also driving a silver-4 door sedan. A third incident occurred in Cement City, also on Feb. 12th, but in this case, the suspect was driving a red Chrysler caravan.

In each case the theft occurred in seconds and the vehicle immediately left the location. To be safe, lock your vehicle doors, even if you are only going to be out of your car for a minute or two. Any information regarding the suspect and suspect vehicle may be directed to Deputy Sharrock at 734-428-8829.
