Walking to School With Heart!

Favorable weather and the promise of heart-themed goodies brought out 56 Klager kids, a good number of adults, and four middle school walkers last Wednesday for the "Heart Smart Walk."

Organizer Kathy O'Mara provided heart necklaces, Valentine pencils, and small treats for each walker. The kids also shared a packet of Valentine treats with the donut crowd at Frank's in the Morning and the dedicated crossing guards who help everyone get safely to their destination, every day, no matter what the weather!

The event also highlighted the fact that February is National Heart Month, and walking--to school or anywhere else--is great exercise for the heart!
