Manchester to host 2018 5HT Farm-to-Table Fabulous Feast

Beginning in 2016 with a street dinner in Chelsea, the 5HealthyTowns Foundation has been holding a Farm-to-Table Fabulous Feast in each of the five communities it serves in order to raise money for the communities’ farmers markets. Last year, it was held in Grass Lake, and this year it will be held in Manchester!

Organizers are holding a brainstorming meeting on on Saturday, January 6 from 9:30 am to noon in the Village Room, located on the lower level of 912 City Road. Everyone is invited to attend this meeting! There will be coffee, tea, water and healthy snacks at the meeting. If you can't attend, but have ideas and/or would like to be involved in planning or volunteering for this event, email farmersmarket48158@gmail.com. Decisions to be made at the meeting include what meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) the feast should be, where it should be held, when, and whether it should have a theme. Committees and committee chairs will be selected.

The fundraising goal of the meal is to net $10,000 or more, which is then divided among the 5HT communities to benefit the farmers markets. The Feast uses locally grown food, features the talents of local chefs and offers a fun and festive opportunity to connect with others in healthy ways.
