Each year high school band directors across the state are invited to recommend up to three seniors to perform with the Michigan Marching Band at their annual Crisler Concert. This year, from Manchester, drum major Tom O’Hotzke (trombone) and Brandon Hieber (tuba) performed on Sunday with the Michigan Marching Band. In addition, Ally Crouch and Kelsey Edwards participated as a part of the flag corps.

The Crisler Concert is the Michigan Marching Band’s final Ann Arbor performance of the year and traditionally they perform with guest high school musicians. The concert features highlights from the season’s pre-game and halftime shows, as well as U of M favorites.

If you missed them performing on Sunday, don’t worry, you can see the whole Manchester band performing right here in the Village. Mark you calendars: The next two Manchester band concerts are December 10th (Middle School Bands 5/6 and 7/8) and December 12th (High School Band, Choir, and Jazz). Both concerts begin at 7:00PM and are held in the HS auditorium. Band alumni are encouraged to attend the High School concert and perform sleigh ride in an annual winter concert tradition.
