Washtenaw County Sheriff Update 01/08/2014

Beginning today the Sheriff’s Office will be tagging homes in need of snow removal from sidewalks. Enforcement was postponed due to the severity of the storm and dangerously cold weather.

Residents are reminded of the need to clear snow within 24 hours of cessation of snowfall.

Since the snow storm on 1/5/14, WCSO has responded to 73 Traffic Crashes and Traffic Hazard complaints throughout the county. In comparison, during the calendar year 2013, WCSO averaged 15 such complaints a day (45 over a three day period).
