Sigma Alpha LambdaSigma Alpha Lambda, a national leadership and honors organization, recently announced that Ciara Marie Kukalis of Manchester, MI , has been recognized as a member at the Grand Valley State University.  Sigma Alpha Lambda is dedicated to promoting and rewarding academic achievement and providing members with opportunities for community service, personal development, and lifelong professional fulfillment.

According to Sigma Alpha Lamba, service is the foundation of their leadership development model as well as the leadership of the organization itself. “Through service, individuals look outside themselves and lives are changed, not only for the one being served but even more so for the one serving. As a result of this process, the individual learns more about who they really are and what they value.

Membership is by letter invitation only from an official chapter of Sigma Alpha Lambda and members must meet eligibility requirements.

Ciara Kukalis is a Junior at Grand Valley State University in Allendale Michigan.  She was also recently inducted into Grand Valley’s Iota Tau chapter of Sigma Tau Delta – an international English honor society.  Sigma Tau Delta’s central purpose is to confer distinction upon students of the English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate, and professional studies.

Ciara is pursuing a Major in English and Elementary Education. She is the daughter of James and Sandra Kukalis of Manchester and a Manchester High School graduate.

Congratulations to Ciara Marie Kukalis.
