Jonno Frishberg, one of the best known fiddlers (and accordion players) out of Louisiana, will join Michigan Cajun trio, Sel de Terre, for some live music you will not soon forget, Saturday, April 26th from 11:00 am – 1:00 at the Coffee Mill.

Jonno is a South Louisiana musician who has explored the roots music of the region for over twenty years, playing Cajun, Blues, Zydeco, Swamp Pop, and Rock’n’Roll. He began his touring career as a member of The District of Columbia Youth Orchestra before moving to Louisiana, where he has worked with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and the University of Southwestern Louisiana Orchestra.

A teacher as well as a student of Cajun fiddle, Frishberg has played with over a dozen Cajun artists, from BeauSoliel to Dewey Balfa. Formerly a member of Acadiana bands Zydeco Five-O, Cajun Brew and Mamou, Frishberg has recorded with Sonny Landreth, Richard Thompson, Michael Doucet, Mamou and Danny Collet & The Louisiana Swamp Cats

This lunch-hour set is free admission.  So come on in and enjoy some great music to go with your soup and sandwich.  That’s  a “Lunch Special” for sure!
