coachJeremyRegistration is open for the next instructional sports program! Instructional Football starts on May 6th and is open for all youth ages 4-6 years old. The program will be held in the Klager gym, moving outdoors if weather permits.

The instructional sports series is contracted through the Community Ed program and run by Jeremy Hodges. Coach Jeremy is the former Assistant Recreation/Camp CABOGI director for the Chelsea Recreation department. He has coached with Meticulous Basketball out of Ann Arbor, assisted with program development for Breakthrough Performance Training and Xplosive Performance training. He has been working with summer camps for 17yrs, swimming lessons for 15yrs and as a director/youth sports coach for 9yrs.

This is instructional and will be working on skills basics: running, catching, throwing, kicking and doing each in a flag football type setting. No tackling or extra contact.

According to Coach Jeremy’s website, he is a Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA) and knows what it takes to build a program. As a Coach, he understands what it takes to get the best out of each child while showing them how to connect with each sport, because “if you don’t enjoy it, why do it?”

The 4-week program costs $50 per person, though a multi-child or multi-program discount is being considered. Please inquire, if you require a discount.

Following this football program, Community Ed will also offer T-ball, then soccer, basketball, and football again. Coach Jeremy also runs these programs in Chelsea but the schedules are different. If children prefer one sport more than the other, families can rotate between communities.
