80 Preschoolers Attend Lamb Storytime at the Library
Lauren Kyota attempts to feed one of the lambs a bottle at a special outdoor preschool story time Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, both the Manchester Co-op Preschool and the Manchester Early Childhood Center’s preschool classes joined the Manchester District Library’s preschool story time for a special outdoor story time that included petting and feeding lambs “Jack” and “Jill”, both less than a week old, and hearing a storybook about a lamb on a farm read by youth librarian Karen Seghers. The preschool classes took walking trips from the Ackerson building to the parking lot of the library. The library estimates that 80 preschoolers attended, perhaps the largest storytime session the library has ever held.

While at times a long wait, everyone waited patiently to see the lambs.
After being fed by the first 10 or so preschoolers, Jack and Jill were full and just wanted to be petted.

Many preschoolers in the 3-year-old MECC class opted to practice good sun safety and wear their sun hats.
