The Washtenaw County Home Toxics Reduction Program provides Washtenaw County residents a way to dispose of flammable, poisonous, toxic and corrosive materials FREE, but donations are welcome to help offset disposal costs.

April-November: open the first 3 Saturdays of the month, 9 a.m. – 12 noon, excluding holiday weekends (July 4th). If you are unable to attend Saturday collections, weekday appointments can be scheduled, see phone number below.

December-March: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. To schedule a drop-off appointment during the week, call the 24-hour information line at: 734-222-3950 or by e-mail to: moodyd@ewashtenaw.org .

The Home Toxics Reduction Center is located in the rear of the Washtenaw County Western Service Center, 705 N. Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor.

Clean Sweep

Do you have old or unwanted agricultural pesticides OR mercury? The Michigan Clean Sweep Program will dispose of these items FREE of charge for any Michigan farmers, residents and businesses. The program accepts pesticides, mercury (contained in a plastic container) and mercury containing devices.

Appointments for disposal are REQUIRED. Please call the Washtenaw County Solid Waste Division at: 734-222-6874 to schedule an appointment, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., or at the Home Toxic Disposal Days listed above.

Disposal location is at the Home Toxics Reduction Center in the rear of the Washtenaw County Western Service Center, 705 N. Zeeb Road, Ann Arbor.
