Tuesday, September 30, Klager PTO held its Fun Run, a combination healthy lifestyle event and no-nonsense fundraiser. Students received pledges leading up to run. Shortly before the run, every student received a water bottle, then, on the day of the run, a Fun Run Number. The students warmed up and ran about 25 minutes to energizing music and the cheers of their families who came to watch. Different grades dressed in different colors. The 3 kindergarten classes dressed in blue.

All of the money raised goes to the Klager PTO and will be used to to fund field trips, assemblies, the talent show, classroom enrichment, and more. If the school’s goal is met, the PTO will hold no more fundraisers this year. Currently they are at $11,314  or 78% of their goal of $14,500. Students have until Oct. 14 to turn in outstanding pledges.

Kathy Austin, Klager PTO president, would like to thank all of the volunteers. She stated, “Without their help, it would not have happened.” Volunteers included Pat Stommen, Mike Carpenter, Kris Uthus, Cassie Thomson, Brooke Gale, Darci Majewski, Jill Corwin, Amy McClung, Cindie Schoeneman, and Amber Aben.

Families braved the cold and misty weather to cheer on their students. The PTO passed out maroon and gold pompoms to cheer with.
