Wednesday, October 8th is National Walk to School Day
Wednesday, October 8th is National Walk to School Day. This yearly event gives Manchester Klager Kids and Middle Schoolers a chance to learn the safest route to their school so they can enjoy a healthy and safe walk to school every morning. Kids and parents should meet at Carr Park at 7:30am, or at Chi-Bro park at 7:40am. This will allow ample time for everyone to get from the park to school. Parent volunteers, village citizens, and Chelsea Wellness Foundation volunteers will all be there to lead the kids.
Melanie Woods, the Safe Routes to School Coordinator, has organized the event and will be there to see everything proceeds smoothly.
Distances:
Carr Park
to Klager: 1.06 miles
to the Middle School: 1.23 miles
Chi-Bro
to Klager: .27 miles
to the Middle School: .61 miles
Anyone who wants to volunteer should contact Ms. Woods at (734) 323-8903 or melwoods1131@aol.com
