The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will be holding a meeting to discuss the proposed Rover Pipeline project proposed to run through the Manchester Area. The meeting will be on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m. at the George Prinzing Auditorium, 500 Washington St. in Chelsea. Officials will be on hand to take questions and hear opinions from the public. State Representative Gretchen Driskell (D-Saline) has encouraged area residents to take their questions and concerns to this meeting as the FERC has regulatory authority over the project.

“I am encouraging everyone who has an interest in this pipeline project to attend the meeting,” Driskell said. “Federal regulators are taking input and preparing to make an environmental impact statement, which will determine if and when the project moves forward.”
