A new shop in town, located in the lower level of the Manchester Mill, is  Hearthstone of Manchester, a name which holds the Manchester Mill as the hearthstone of the village.

Hearthstone of Manchester’s white iron gate on Main Street opened to the public on Oct. 10, answering the call to make local artists’ works and collectibles available to the public. It features finely crafted custom wood cutting boards, colorful felted wool brooches and bookmarks, intricate wood fretwork pieces, perfectly painted Ukrainian eggs, fine art wildlife photography, selected vintage collectibles, gently loved (and some new) Coach purses and accessories, Oak Hill Farm honey, and oats from The Grainery.

Strolling through the shop, you will find beeswax candles and Christmas ornaments, amazing hand-crafted jewelry, finely beaded pendant necklaces, llama roving and sheep’s wool, cinnamon sticks and whole nutmegs, soy candles, old canning jars, Vaseline glass, wrought iron pieces, new books (some signed) from local authors, barn wood frames, crocheted roving foot warming rugs and much more.

Shop Fireplace ARTICLE

A centerpiece of Hearthstone of Manchester, the newest shop in the Mill, is a holiday backdrop for family photographs.

Featured in the shop is a fireplace, flanked by a Christmas tree, perfect for the $10 family holiday portraits offered by proprietor, Deb Sautter, also a photographer from Clarklake. And, with the holiday season approaching, Hearthstone also has a Christmas room, offering vintage and new Spode Christmas Tree porcelain, wildlife Christmas cards, and other seasonal goodies.

The shop’s Grand Opening will be this weekend during Christmas In The Village; Friday, Nov. 21 from 10-9 and Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10-5. Regular shop hours are Tuesday-Friday 10-5, and Saturday 10-2.
