Balanced Calendar Community Forum Schedule Announced

The Manchester Community Schools District is embarking on a discussion to understand and consider the possibility of switching to a new school-year schedule known as the “balanced calendar.” (For more information read the Balanced Calendar article the Mirror published in January.) During the 2014-15 school year, the school district will hear from parents, teachers, students, administrators and community members to further discuss and brainstorm this alternative school-year concept. The first phase in this process is community forums, eight of which have been scheduled for the next 30 days.

Come bring your questions, ideas and thoughts on the balanced calendar:

February 16 at 1:00 pm Board Room, Ackerson Building, 410 City Road
February 17 at 6:00 pm Board Room, Ackerson Building, 410 City Road
February 23 at 7:00 pm Board Room at Ackerson Building, 410 City Road
