2015 Agriculture Banquet – Mike Schaible Elected to Washtenaw County Dairy Livestock Council

The Washtenaw County Dairy and Livestock Council honored Archie Bradbury and Albert Ruhlig, both from the Dexter area, at their annual Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet held at the Chelsea High School. The board presented them with their Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award in recognition of their many years of dedication and service to the agricultural community in Washtenaw County. The Washtenaw County Dairy and Livestock Council honored Archie Bradbury and Albert Ruhlig, both from the Dexter area, at their annual Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet held at the Chelsea High School. More than 300 people attended the 2015 Washtenaw County Agriculture Banquet held March 19 and hosted by the Washtenaw County Dairy Livestock Council at the Chelsea High School. A prime rib and chicken dinner was prepared by Chelsea Food Service and served by the National Honor Society from Chelsea High School. The entertainment for the evening was provided by the Huron Valley Harmonizers from the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas.

The Council presented their Distinguished Service to Agriculture Awards to Archie Bradbury from Dexter and to Albert Ruhlig, also from the Dexter area. These awards are given in recognition of many years of dedication and service to the agricultural community in Washtenaw County. Agricultural producers elected to the council for a three-year term were Garrett Fischer from Dexter, Joe Koengeter from Chelsea, Paul Rothfuss from Saline and Mike Schaible from Manchester. State Representative Gretchen Driskell presented retiring MSU Extension Educator Nancy Thelen with a special tribute signed by herself and Senator Joe Hune.

The Washtenaw County Dairy Livestock Council also gave a big thank you to all of the contributors to the 2015 banquet.
