Heard of fracking? Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is the controversial method of extracting natural gas and oil, now occurring in 32 countries, including the United States.

The Manchester District Library will begin a FREE movie series at 7pm on Tuesday, June 30th by showing GASLAND II in the Village room. GASLAND II is the follow-up to filmmaker Josh Fox’s Oscar-nominated film GASLAND. In this move he uses his trademark dark humor to take a deep, broad look at fracking. Watch the preview HERE.

This FREE movie series is co-hosted by Stewards of Western Washtenaw and will play on the fourth Tuesday of every month on a large screen using a new, digital projector. Snacks will also be available for a nominal donation.

Editors Note: This article originally, incorrectly stated that movies would be shown on the 4th Thursday of each month.
