Open Elementary Principal Position Filled

Superintendent Cherie Vannatter announced last week that Karin Villarreal will become the Luther C. Klager Elementary principal, effective immediately, replacing Jennifer Mayes who took over as Middle School principal earlier this month. Villarreal, a longtime Manchester resident, has been an elementary teacher within Manchester Community School district since 1994. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. She will be available during the Klager Open House on Tuesday, September 1st from 5:30 – 7:30 pm to greet students and families.

Karin Villarreal won the Service to Youth Special Award at the 2013 CRC Volunteer Recognition Banquet. She was nominated by the Klager PTO for her endless dedication to Klager students, her colleagues at Klager Elementary, and the community of Manchester.
