Manchester Community Education is excited about new classes coming to Manchester beginning this week.

Today, Melissa Katke will lead another great after school class in the Klager Art Room. This time children Kindergarten through 6th grade can make their own fashion accessories during this fun workshop.  Cost is $15 and children can make three or more items. The choices include: headband, necklace, rings, hair clips and bracelets.  There will be plenty of bling for decorating! Gym America classes will be held starting Wednesday.

Gym America classes will be held starting Wednesday.

Beginning Wednesday, October 21 and continuing for five weeks, Gym America on Wheels is bringing Gymnastics to Klager Elementary after school for Kindergarteners through 4th grade. This is a 45-minute class that offers a positive and fun environment, where students will be instructed on all of the Olympic events: vaults, bars, balance beam, tumbling and trampoline with special emphasis offered on self-esteem, strength and coordination. The cost of this session is $60 and requires a parent/guardian waiver for participation. Click here for registration flyer and also complete this waiver for your child to attend.

Melissa Katke will be back in the evening of Oct. 21 from 7-9 pm to help adults create a two-page scrapbook layout in the Klager Art Room. For just $16, Melissa provides all the materials you need to take home this beautiful layout—just add your own photos.

Eat Healthy-Be ActiveBeginning next Monday, October 26, Mary Donaldson from MSU Extension will offer their Eat Healthy-Be Active program to adults in room 101 of Manchester High School from 7-8:30 pm. This is a 7-week program being offered free of charge. It will help participants learn to eat healthy on a budget; increase their physical activity; discover tips for reaching and maintaining a healthy weight; prepare quick, healthy meals and snacks; enjoy healthy food that tastes great and make healthy eating a part of their total lifestyles.
