Do you geek science? Then you may be the perfect coach for Manchester Elementary Science Olympiad Team. Science Olympiad encourages and helps develop a love of science. Organizers want kids to have the opportunity to explore new scientific concepts while collaborating with new friends.

Each event in which the team chooses to have students compete requires a coach. A coach meeting will be held in January by Washtenaw Science Olympiad. They will provide lots of support and great ideas for how to teach each event.

Event choices include:
paper airplanes
natural science
birds
plants
computers
architecture
straw rockets
and many more!

If you are interested in coaching, please email organizer Lynn Miller at: lynnmill@umich.edu or join students at their open registration at the library Village Room on Saturday, January 9th from 10 am to noon.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
