Are you a Consumers Energy customer with an outstanding balance? Need help?

Manchester’s CRC has partnered with United Way of Jackson County to help customers with their applications for the CARE program. Manchester area residents can call the CRC for an appointment at 734-428-7722.

CARE, short for Consumers Affordable Resource for Energy, is for any Consumers Energy customer making equal or less than 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines with an outstanding balance less than $3,000. Spots in the program are not guaranteed, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Those enrolled will receive monthly credits toward energy charges and efficiency opportunities, in addition to having their outstanding balance frozen and reduced if monthly payments are made on time.
